What if a demon…

What if a demon were to creep after you one night, in your loneliest loneliness, and say, ‘This life which you live must be lived by you once again and innumerable times more; and every pain and joy and thought and sigh must come again to you, all in the same sequence. The eternal hourglass will again and again be turned and you with it, dust of the dust!’ Would you throw yourself down and gnash your teeth and curse that demon? Or would you answer, ‘Never have I heard anything more divine’?
— Friedrich Nietzsche (via Zealous)
I imagine your answer to this question depends heavily on your current mood, but it makes you wonder about the kind of life you are living. Is the joy in your life worth the sorrow? If not, what are you going to do to make it so? Dare you to move…

I think it would be the greatest blessing.
Of course, the changes around our home have been good ones, a year ago, or even six months ago I never would have answered it with the same answer. I would have sighed heavily, likely cried, and would have wanted to retreat underneath a big rock.

Right now I’d be indifferent. I suppose it’d get old after a few playing. I should work on improving things so that I can have a more possitive answer.
