Remember Dude
28 February 2006, 11 am | Observation
On Ash Wednesday, the traditional words said as one receives ashes are:
Remember, man, you are dust and to dust you will return.
Our school’s deacon has “suggested” a modern, up-to-date version:
Remember, dude, you are dust and like to dust you’ll actually return.

Dear Sir,
Isn’t that,
“Remember dude, you are dust and like to dust you’ll TOTALLY return.” ?
Maybe it’s just a regional thing dude.
shalom,

That’s much better. Thanks. I’ll pass it along to the good deacon. :)
